Image Fulgurator

Ha! This is a very cool idea.
It's basically just a film projector that can shine words or pictures on walls or whatever. But the cool part is that it's powered by a camera flash. The type, like many, that can be set to go off when they sense another flash going off.
So what you do is point this at something that people will be taking flash pictures of and when they take the picture the image fulgurator projects something for justa few milliseconds. The person taking the picture never sees it because it happens so fast, but their camera captures it. Brilliant! See a longer explanation and a video of it in action at checkpoint charlie here

Unphotographable
Apparently, since 2004 Michael David Murphy has been posting the photos he didn't take. Michael describes his site like this:
Unphotographable is a catalog of exceptional mistakes. Photos never taken that weren't meant to be forgotten. Opportunities missed. Simple failures. Occasions when I wished I'd taken the picture, or not forgotten the camera, or had been brave enough to click the shutter.
In the place of these mistakes he writes a short description, often vivid and moving in their own right.
